Yoga Class Descriptions
Feeling stressed out? You are not alone. In the modern age of information & technology, it’s all too easy to be bombarded by external distraction and over-stimulation, so that we tend to lose connection and forget our deep, inherent need to be present with ourselves. Come join Katherine Robinson to attune, ground & align — co-creating a peaceful environment to bring us back to our source with deep breathing, mantra meditation and guided relaxation — with the addition of sound healing, using the resonations of the frame drum and crystal bowls to deepen the experience.
This class is designed for beginners, perfect if you are newer to yoga but unsure of what to expect or feel intimidated joining a more advanced class. This class is also appropriate for the yogi who wants to review the basics and bring greater focus to proper alignment or work out any other kinks that may be overlooked in a faster-paced Vinyasa class.
Focusing on proper alignment and positioning, with deeper attention being paid to the foundation of your yoga practice, your instructor will guide you through the basics of yoga.

Yin and Myofascial Release
This 2 hour speciality class combines the use of myofascial release and yin yoga postures. Myofascial Release is a hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. In this class students will be guided on how to use tennis or lacrosse balls to apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to roll and release the fascia using their own body weight and movement. Students will then be guided into yin postures in order to stress tissues and joints in the targeted areas to increase circulation and improve range of motion.
Go home feeling renewed and restored along with a pocket full of self massage techniques.
Beginner through advanced levels are welcome!
Yin and Nidra
Yin Yoga is a slow paced style of yoga in which poses are held for longer periods of time. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, deep fascia, bones, and even the joints of the body that are normally not exercised very much in a more active style of yoga or other exercise regimen. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep is a guided journey into a deep state of consciousness between waking and sleep, the going-to-sleep stage which is practiced lying down. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions.
Clinical research highlights the effectiveness of Yoga Nidra in improving sleep, reducing stress, fatigue, depression and anxiety as well as general well being.Come experience this sweet release of mind and body. This class is appropriate for students of all levels.
