Yoga Class Descriptions
Flow
Our Flow yoga classes are based on Vinyasa yoga (translates to “flowing with breath”) which is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga joining physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. The Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences with a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Each instructor brings their own style and energy so give everyone a try!
All levels welcome!
Slow Flow
This yoga class is designed for beginners through intermediate students and a perfect class if you are interested in trying yoga but unsure of what to expect or feel intimidated joining a more advanced class. Also, our Slow Flow Yoga class is appropriate for the yogi who wants to get back to basics and bring greater focus to proper alignment or work out any other kinks that may be overlooked in a faster-paced class.
Focusing on proper alignment and positioning, with deeper attention being paid to the foundation of your yoga practice, your instructor will guide you through the basics of Vinyasa Flow.
Flow Restore
Be prepared to work a little and relax a lot, balancing movement with rest. The first half of class will be breath-based vinyasa, designed to cultivate inner heat. In the second half of class, we’ll wind down sweetly. Harness your awareness of the breath and the energy of your body for this all-levels practice that will leave you feeling more centered, open and relaxed.
Yin
Yin Yoga focuses on increasing joint mobility and decreasing pain by exploring the body’s deep tissue though long-hold (2-5 minute) seated and reclined stretches. This inwardly-focused class will bring you a greater range of motion, less back and hip pain, and an increased flow of energy. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.
Great for all levels!
Prenatal Yoga
With modifications offered for every stage of pregnancy, we will flow and stretch in a way that accommodates for bigger bellies, achy hips and sore backs! Every class will end with restorative postures, a supported Savasana and guided meditation designed to help mamas connect with their babies and prepare for the birthing journey.
